Kennel-Free Dog Paradise

You won’t find a better value in the Bay Area for Dog care while you’re on vacation. Other kennels charge about the same rate and all you get is a small room with a few scheduled potty breaks per day. Here your dog will have their own vacation while you’re away on yours.

Testimonials

My bf and I had to leave for the weekend and needed a place for our dog to stay. Eric was perfect for our dog Mamacita. He attended to all her needs, allowed for her to roam on his fully fenced 5 acre property, and even let her chill on the couch. He updated me with pictures throughout the stay. Mama was very happy when we picked her up. We will for sure be having Eric watch Mamas again!

Frequently Asked Questions

  • How many dogs do you allow at one time?
Typically we only allow a maximum of 8 dogs, although usually we have less than this at one time.
  • What is the first step in booking a stay for my dog?
Feel free to reach out via email at 831puppy@gmail.com, or text me at (831) 600-5651. We will chat a little about basic info and dates, and maybe schedule a meet and greet.
  • Can I come check out the property?
Absolutely! We love to do meet and greets before booking a new client, though this isn’t a strict requirement.
  • Do you charge extra for holidays?
Yes we charge about 40% more per day for stays that include major holidays. This is standard in the industry and reflects the fact that we can’t accommodate all of the demand for boarding on these dates
  • How do you make sure dogs don’t fight?
We only accept dogs that get along well with other dogs and people. We separate dogs at mealtime and make sure there are no rawhides or other chewable treats laying around the property to be fought over. If a dog shows aggression we have a separate fenced half acre inside the main fenceline, so they can be isolated while still having their own space to explore. We have never had an issue with dogs fighting, maybe because there is so much space to explore together.
  • Do you have any wildlife on the property?
There are dozens of bunnies who call this their permanent home, living beneath the redwoods. We don’t encourage or help dogs catch them, but they are allowed to try. Most dogs aren’t fast or determined enough to catch a bunny, but once in a while they do. This is an ancient redwood forest with all kinds of birds, lizards, insects, etc.
  • Why should my dog stay here when a kennel is a little bit cheaper?
Kennels are a last resort budget option that can often leave dogs traumatized. No dog wants to be locked in a small cell all day and only allowed out a few times to potty. These kennels resemble the shelters and can trigger dogs previous trauma, leaving them feeling abandoned and depressed.
